Molly Scarfe, BA
McMaster University

Molly Scarfe completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at the University of Waterloo and is now completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology through the Research and Clinical Training stream of the Psychology Graduate Program at McMaster University.

Her undergraduate work, conducted under the supervision of Dr. Michael Dixon, examined how structural features of slot machines impact gambling behaviours. Currently, under the supervision of Dr. James MacKillop at the Peter Boris Centre for Addictions Research, Molly is investigating the impacts of COVID-19 on mental health and substance use and substance use disorders. She also conducts research examining the underlying mechanisms involved in the relationships between substance use and mental health disorders. Molly is currently collaborating HRI to examine the structure and diagnostic criteria of alcohol and cannabis use disorder.
