Chief of Psychiatry for The Residence, Ravensview and Workplace Mental Health
Dr. Ben McCutchen is the Chief of Psychiatry for The Residence, Ravensview and Workplace Mental Health, and Interim Chief of Psychiatry for the Integrated Mood and Anxiety Program (IMAP) at Homewood Health. He began his career on the Trillium Acute Care Program at Homewood Health Centre in 2018, after completing his psychiatry training at the Waterloo Regional Campus (WRC) of McMaster University Psychiatry Training Program. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the Michael G. DeGrotte school of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree at McMaster University. In his role as medical director of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) for Homewood Health, he has developed an academic interest in treatment-resistant depression, and the application of measurement-based care to improve patient care. As a former Forum Fellow of the McMaster Health Forum, he has a keen interest in evidence-informed policymaking in healthcare, to improve service delivery.
