Heather Froome is Director of Operations at HRI. She is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations, financial management, human resources administration, co-ordination of projects, and infrastructure pertaining to the realization of HRI’s strategic plan. Reporting to the Executive Director, Heather contributes to strategic planning, aligning operations with work plans and collaborating with partner universities and affiliated scientists to support developing plans and initiatives. 

Heather obtained her MSW and Diploma in Social Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. Before joining Homewood Research Institute, she worked in progressive leadership roles with regional government, university, and child protection services, where she demonstrated excellence in leading, planning, and implementing large, complex projects.

Heather also serves as an officer and the secretary of HRI’s Board of Directors.
