Isaac Beech, BSc
Isaac holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the University of Waterloo. His early experience working in various research and clinical settings sparked a keen interest in trauma and the neurocognitive impacts of mental illness.
Currently, Isaac works as a Research Coordinator on two key projects at HRI, under the supervision of Dr. Margaret McKinnon, Homewood Chair in Mental Health and Trauma.
The first project aims to understand the mental health impacts of pandemic stress on health care workers and first responders.
The second project explores the utility of Goal Management Training (GMT) – a cognitive training tool – among first responders experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder.
Isaac facilitates participant recruitment, screening and scheduling, and he assists with knowledge mobilization efforts for both projects.
