Sarah Goegan, BSc

Sarah is currently completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. Prior to attending McMaster University, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Queen’s University, Kingston, ON. Her doctorate research focuses on the role of cognitive impairment in psychiatric illnesses, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or Depression. Specifically, she is interested in adapting and developing interventions that better target the cognitive symptoms of psychiatric illness, such as executive dysfunction, and in understanding how pre-existing factors affect an individual’s response to treatment. Her research is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Margaret McKinnon (McMaster University, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Homewood Research Institute) and Dr. Heather McNeely (McMaster University St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton).
