Saurabh Shaw, MEng
Saurabh Shaw is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at McMaster University, supervised by Dr. Sue Becker; and is an incumbent post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Psychiatry at Western University, supervised by Dr. Ruth Lanius and Dr. Margaret McKinnon. He completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University, and is also a postgraduate affiliate of the Vector AI Institute in Toronto. After previously working on medical imaging improvements using machine learning (ML), his research interests are currently focused on improving our understanding of brain network dynamics, and developing ML-powered neurotechnologies aimed at improving clinical diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, specifically PTSD. He is collaborating with HRI to accomplish this by investigating the neurological impact of augmentative interventions such as neurofeedback and goal management training.
